Scott Joined his father Ted in 2011. Prior to becoming a licensed agent, Scott had over 20 + years in the automotive industry. In 2020, Scott and his wife Donna formed a partnership to purchase Hollern-Koontz Insurance and have been the proprietors since that time. Scott believes in a client first approach advising his clients on solutions to protect the people and things that are important. Since joining the agency as an agent Scott has updated policies and procedures to reflect the full range of service capabilities. Scott believes in being available to his clients and provides each client with 24- hour contact information.
Scott is an active member of the community. He served on his local Planning Commission, Finance Committee and as a member and President of Indian Lake Borough Council. Scott assisted with his local government in these positions for nine years. Scott also volunteers at Flight 93 National Memorial, is an active member of the Friends of Flight 93, is an active volunteer and past board member of the Humane Society of Somerset County as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce for six years.

Donna Gibson Co-Owner
Donna joined the agency as a licensed agent in January 2022. Donna retired in December 2021 after a 32-year career in the financial services industry. Donna holds the Treasurer position at the agency as a non-acting partner.
Donna also has a long history of community service, volunteering for various organizations. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial, one of the 9/11 attack sites. Donna is also a volunteer Ambassador to the National Park Service at Flight 93 National Memorial.
Prior to accepting the position at Friends of Flight 93, Donna was a regional sales manager and coach in the financial service Industry. For over 32 years, she helped sales bankers hone their skills in conversational sales and service. Donna retired from financial service at the end of 2022 and continues to use those skills to support the Agency operations

Courtney Matts
Courtney joined the agency in May of 2022. Her previous experience working in administrative roles with local business and government agencies fit well with the agency. Her customer friendly caring demeanor was quickly evident. As time went on, she took on additional roles and now handles our accounting, agency management and customer service positions. Recently she passed her Pennsylvania Insurance Producers test for Property and Casualty. Thus, allowing her to now help with new and existing clients' insurance needs.
Courtney is the wife of Windber Native, Zach Mattis and mom to Ezekiel and Evelyn. She graduated from Pennsylvania Highlands Community College in May of 2023 with an Associate's Degree in Business Management. Courtney has served on the Somerset County Habitat for Humanity Board as Resource/Fundraising Chair since 2023. In her free time, you can find Courtney watching her son play baseball, gardening, reading, crafting or spending time with her family and dogs, Shyloh and Archie.

Norm is the latest in a long line of curly haired chaos merchants. In his free time, he enjoys chewing stuff up, messing with Luna and watching reruns of Seinfeld. He also serves as the office collections agent.
Earl (RIP)
Meet Earl, former Chief of Security and destroying stuff. He also served as our greeter and director of public relations. He is deeply missed and is now serving as a greeter on the Rainbow Bridge.

Luna is the newest member of the team. Looking cute is her chief responsibility. Putting up with Norm is her full-time job.
